Farad FC Configurator

This tool is intended to be used by companies that purchase refrigeration equipment in order to create a complete commercial refrigeration system. It is assumed that the user has already selected an appropriate refrigerant compressor and is selecting a matching condenser. This tool is also used for selecting an appropriate replacement for an existing condenser.

The following assumptions have been made:

• Cooling medium: Water for standard applications, seawater for marine applications
• Condensate subcooling in the condenser: 3 °C
• Fouling factor on the water / tube side: 0.000043 m2·°C/W
• No fouling factor on the refrigerant / shell side
