MGO Coolers

Marine Gas Oil Coolers , MGOC series

Except Marine Gas Oil Cooling Units, FARAD has developed a new series of product that can be installed in the fuel oil service system in order to reduce the temperature of the MGO, and therefore, increase viscosity. FARAD MGO coolers is a cost-effective and reliable solution for low-Sulphur emissions. The optimized shell & tube design offers easy maintenance, reliability and trouble free operation.

Capacity

Standard designs are available, starting from 1 m³/h to 14 m³/h of MGO flow and cooling capacity 9kW to 146kW. Larger capacities are available on request.

Materials

Materials are sourced from reputable EU manufacturers and material thickness is higher than that required by the relevant design code

Standard design data of MGOC

• MGO inlet temp: 55 Deg. C.
• MGO outlet temp.: 36 Deg. C. (assuming SW temp. at 32 Deg. C,)
• MGO outlet temp.: 39 Deg. C. (assuming FW temp. at 36 Deg. C,)
• Design Pressure (MGO): 1.0 MPa.
• Cooling system: S.W. or F.W.
• Compact solution, trouble free operation with easy maintenance
• “Tailor-made” solution that suits to vessel’s specifications.

Approvals

FARAD’s MGO Coolers are ABS Type approved product (alternatively approved by LR, BV, DNV-GL etc upon request).

Delivery

2-4 week upon order receipt and drawing approval – confirmation. Some models may be available for immediate delivery (in- stock).
