FARAD S.A. is honoured to be part of the Frégate de Défense et d’Intervention (FDI) frigates of the Hellenic Navy (HN) program with HS “KIMON” (F-601), built at Naval Group’s shipyard in Lorient, France.
FARAD S.A. has contributed to this program of national importance for Greece by supplying advanced heat exchangers that support the cooling of critical onboard systems. Our involvement in the FDI HN frigates program reaffirms our commitment to delivering robust, high-performance thermal solutions for mission-critical naval applications.
The official naming ceremony and the raising of the Greek flag on HS “KIMON” took place in Lorient, France, on 18 December 2025, in the presence of the Minister of National Defence of Greece, Mr Nikos Dendias, the CEO of Naval Group, Mr Pierre-Eric Pommellet and the ship’s sponsor, Admiral (Hon.) Panagiotis Laskaridis, whose contributions we respectfully acknowledge.
We extend our best wishes to the crew of HS “KIMON” for safe and successful operations, and to the Hellenic Navy as it continues to safeguard Greece’s and Europe’s maritime interests.
